Q:
Are there any factors that may increase my cost?
A: There are a few special circumstances, which may add to the
cost of your building. There is a fuel surcharge added to every
order. This surcharge varies, dependent upon the geographic area
in which the building will be erected, and is paid directly to
the installer who delivers your building. The following is a list
of examples of factors that may add to the cost of your building.
For prices on each circumstance please call our sales department
at 1-800-547-8480
1. If materials have to be carried
more than 50 feet from the trailer to the installation site.
2. If the building has to be erected and then moved or slid
into its final position because it cannot be erected in its
final position.
3. Cutting legs to a special length.
4. Seaming. Including attaching buildings together (end-to-end
or side-by-side); or attaching your building to an existing
structure. Note: Seaming is required to achieve building lengths
over 41 feet.
5. If a building has to be erected over an existing object.
6. Work being performed to an existing building.
7. Trip charges for Delivery to certain areas.
Q: Is
there a discount for purchasing more than one building?
A: We do not offer discounts on multiple building purchases, however
if two or more buildings are being installed in the same location,
you will be able to save on fuel and/or trip surcharges.
Q:
What type of vehicle will be used to deliver my building?
A: The standard vehicle used for building deliveries is a full-size
pickup truck pulling a long trailer that averages 38' in length.
Q:
My ground is not level, can you still erect my building?
A: Yes, depending upon how out of level your site is. Normal installations
allow for 3-4 inches out-of-level. If the ground or surface is
out of level more than 4", the legs may be cut to help level
out your building in special circumstances. (Extra labor charges
may apply)
Q:
Do you offer buildings longer than 41 feet?
Y: Yes, we are able to make a building as long as required, as
long as your ground is level. (Seaming fees may apply)
Q:
Do I need a Building Permit?
A: We do not require a building permit to erect buildings. You
will however need to check with your local building inspector's
office to find out if you are required by local ordinance to purchase
a building permit for your building. If a building permit is required,
your building will need to be "Certified".
Q:
What is a "Certified" Building?
A: A Certified Building is a building that meets or exceeds your
local building code. An Engineering spec sheet can be provided
free of charge to your local Building Department. If required,
an original "Raised Seal" Engineering spec sheet can
be provided at a cost of $175.00.
Q:
Can I buy just a carport now, and have your installers come back
and add sides or ends later?
A: Yes you can. A return trip fee will apply.
Q:
How tall does my building need to be for my RV or Motor Home to
fit?
A: An important thing to bear in mind when dimensioning your building
is not to make it too tall. For example, when you carry an umbrella
in the rain, do you extend it as high as possible, or hold it
close to provide as much protection as possible? The best way
to handle this question is to take measurements of your RV and
contact our sales department at 1-800-547-8480. Your measurements
should include the following:
1. Width. Include mirrors and
slide-outs, if they will be opened under the carport for any
reason.
2. Length. If you have a pull behind or plan to have one, include
the tongue.
3. Height of each side from the ground.
4. Height at the highest point from the ground.
Q: Can my building be attached to
my home, garage, or other structure?
A: No, the only structures we will attach to are those that we
erect.
Q:
What width building fits two cars the best?
A: To answer this question you need to consider the size of the
vehicles you plan to park under your building. Small to mid-sized
vehicles will fit under an 18' wide building. Full-sized vehicles
may require 20'-22' width.
Q:
What do I need to do to get my site ready for installation?
A: Clear away anything and everything that may be in the way or
may cause difficulty for the installers trying to get to the site
and erect the building. Marking the spot where the building is
to be erected is always a good idea.
Q:
Can my building be installed on a wooden floor or deck?
A: Yes, the customer is responsible for providing lag screws with
washers to attach the building to the wood floor or deck. (Additional
labor charges may apply in special circumstances)
Q:
How long will it take to erect my building?
A: In most cases it takes 2-3 hours to erect a typical building,
however it may take up to 2 days dependent upon the size of the
building and the options purchased.
Q:
If I add a gable to my building, how much clearance will I have
under the gable?
A: Your clearance will equal your leg height. For example: 7'
legs will have 7' of clearance.
Q:
How close can I place my building to another building or fence?
A: Our installers request 3' of clearance all the way around a
building. If there is not enough room for the installers to perform
their work, we can erect the building nearby and slide the building
into place. (Additional labor charges may apply)
Q:
How much area does a side panel cover?
A: A side panel covers 3'. Therefore, if you order one (1) panel,
it will cover 3'. If you order 2 panels, it will cover 6', and
so forth.
Q:
What happens after I place an order online?
A: After clicking submit, you will receive a confirmation number.

I still have questions, can I talk to someone for answers?
